A homage to terrazzo, a material commonly used as flooring in buildings constructed in the 1900s, and its vivid colours, white, beige, green, dull-red and peach, found in pre-cast outdoor garden settees. Along with a fondness for their hues, Ming enjoys the randomness of the aggregate’s stone speckles and how it transforms after it is cast. This made terrazzo a natural choice to explore its adaptability to the finely detailed folds of Aureole's Geometry series.

An extension to the Art of Paper Folding, the series was realised in polished terrazzo stone and comprises table lights in a variety of folding shapes and heights.

Simple pleats are further folded into 11 points creating a collar detail at the light holder's top section. The extended height forms a pedestal column, elevating the lights glow.

The elegant column base of the 11-point design can be utilised as a vase.
