The Bloom Totem Lights is a series of bespoke lighting pieces designed for Fritz Restaurant at The Troika, KL. The client’s brief was to create a pendant sculpture in a nine-metre-high space while still allowing diners to enjoy the renowned city view.
Aureole designed a cascade of metal blooms forming a canopy of sculptural foliage. The sparse metal structure and pattern allowed the blooms to create a float-like silhouette, serving as both a centerpiece and an effective light source for the space. The totem-pole design concept of the light is adaptable to different heights, extending the design into a series of smaller pendant clusters and floor lights for other areas of the restaurant.
The metal fabrication is by Pin Metal Art, who transform reuse steel from production processes into metal objects.
